Intellectually disabled adults are dynamic individuals who often have to struggle to make their voices heard. We at Richmond Residential are active advocates through increasing public awareness and education.

The Four Seasons

Richmond Residential assists the Richmond-based client advocacy group, The Four Seasons, in learning ways to assert individual voices and exercise rights in order to help become contributing citizens in their community. The Four Seasons Community Advocacy group was established in 2009, in partnership with the ARC of Virginia. This group is open to any person with an intellectual disability and offers opportunities to grow and learn about how to become more vital members of their communities. This group has participated in various events, such as the ARC of Virginia State Conference, State Advocacy Planning Committee, Voices of Virginia, Special Olympics Fundraisers, and has sponsored toy drives in support of the Toys for Tots campaign as well as community recreational activities.
