Since 1979, Richmond Residential Services has been creating true homes for adults with diverse abilities. A safe, welcoming places where people find not only care, but purpose, growth, and joy. Our mission is simple, yet deeply lived: we provide person-centered care that supports each individual’s unique journey, empowering them to live life on their own terms, with dignity and meaning.

Our vision is to enrich lives and empower individuals to live their best lives. This vision is more than words; it is reflected daily in warm smiles, shared meals, deep relationships, and personal milestones that remind us what home truly means.

We serve individuals through a variety of comprehensive services designed to meet each person’s unique needs. These include our safe and supportive Group Homes, independent Supported Living apartments, and financial stability through our Representative Payee Program. We provide vital Respite care for families, In-Home supports that bring care directly to individuals where they live and assist with securing Housing Choice Vouchers to open doors to stable, independent living. Across each service, our approach remains the same: individualized care, deep respect, and unwavering advocacy.

At the heart of our work is a dedicated team of professionals and volunteers who consider this more than a job, it is a calling. Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) make up the heart of our workforce, walking alongside individuals each day to provide compassionate, hands-on care and meaningful support. Their relationships with those we serve are built on trust, respect, and a deep understanding of each person’s needs and dreams. Many of our staff have been with RRSI for decades, and together, our leadership and program teams represent more than 200 combined years of service. This kind of longevity reflects the deep bonds built between our staff, residents, and families. It is love in action, every single day.
